Pulling the playlist for tonight's 5 to 7 set, I didn't come up with any theme or central idea for my song selection. The songs come from so many genres that really, it's a musical salad. One common element is that they are songs I love and can listen to again and again without tiring of them. There's old songs like Kurt Weill's Pirate Jenny from Nina Simone and new songs like Goodbye, England from Laura Marling. It's a relatively quiet set, but I hope you will like it. It includes one of my favorite covers of The Beatles Oh Darling.
